​This workshop is designed as a space to reflect on Alang from within, bringing together stakeholders to share perspectives on what the industry does well today, what is often not visible externally, and how the future of ship recycling is understood by those working within it.

​The discussion will centre around:

• ​Existing strengths and practices within Alang

• ​How safety and operations are managed in practice

• ​Perspectives on the future of the industry

• ​Key barriers, challenges, and areas where support may be needed

​The aim is to enable an open, constructive dialogue grounded in real experience and insight from the field, to be later shared with the wider international industry.

​The day will bring together a small group of stakeholders from across the Alang cluster for an open conversation about the industry's strengths, how operations are managed in practice, and perspectives on the future of ship recycling in Alang. The aim is a genuinely grounded dialogue led by the experience and insight of the people in the room.
