About Event

PLEASE NOTE: The location of the Shoreline Clean Up has been changed to Port Union Waterfront Park located at 169 Chesterton Shores, Scarborough in Port Union Village.

Join the Toronto Zoo and Pollution Probe for a community shoreline clean-up event and make a direct impact on protecting local wildlife and waterways! Together, we’ll roll up our sleeves to collect litter, remove debris, and restore the health of our shoreline ecosystem.

This hands-on event is more than just a clean-up—it’s an opportunity to learn about the impacts of plastic pollution, the importance of healthy watersheds, and how small actions can make a big difference. Toronto Zoo and Pollution Probe experts will share insights about conservation efforts, biodiversity protection, and sustainable practices that help safeguard our natural environment.

Whether you’re a first-time volunteer or a seasoned steward, your participation will help reduce pollution, support cleaner habitats for animals and people, and demonstrate community leadership in sustainability.

What to Expect:

  • A shoreline clean-up along designated areas.

  • Educational outreach discussions and resources from the Toronto Zoo and Pollution Probe.

  • A chance to connect with like-minded community members.

  • All clean-up supplies provided; please bring weather-appropriate clothing and reusable water bottles.

Let’s work together to protect our shared waters, reduce waste, and create a cleaner, greener future.
