Students of Spatial
Meet the students of ID4401/ID5401 Spatial Computing: Design and Development at the National University of Singapore!
Over the course of the semester, these students prototyped spatial apps for Apple Vision Pro for use cases ranging from healthcare to education and training to arts and design. The student cohort was interdisciplinary drawing from across NUS faculties, ranging from Industrial Design to Integrated Design to Engineering to Computing.
Many students had never coded before, and some had coded before but not in Swift for Apple platforms. After mastering the fundamentals of basic app development in Swift using Xcode at the beginning of the course, they leveraged agentic coding using Claude for Xcode to help them prototype. The course culminated with a showcase at the Apple Developer Center in Singapore, where the students not only described but also demonstrated their spatial computing apps to an audience of academic faculty, clinical collaborators, and professional developers.
At this Spatial Singapore meetup, students in the course will share their experiences developing for this new platform! Please join us on Wednesday May 20th at 6 pm at the innovation 4.0 building at NUS for a special evening to celebrate student's journey through Apple Vision Pro development. Dinner will be included!
