Emily Cabrera, founder of Iikaa Philanthropy, Executive Director at RAVEN, and former Executive Director (acting) and former director of Strategic Partnerships & Communications at the First Peoples’ Cultural Foundation, is Ojibway from Fort William First Nation on her mother’s side and from Anahuac (Mexico) on her father’s side.
Brijlal Chaudhari, an Indigenous Peoples’ rights activist who is part of the Food Justice Storytellers Circle, hails from the Tharu Nation in Nepal and currently works in France, where he founded the Global Home for Indigenous Peoples.
Joanne (涓) Cheung is an artist, designer, and lifelong environmental justice activist who is part of the Food Justice Storytellers Circle. Her homeland is the once-abundant wetlands of the Jianghan in China.
Sharon Hobenshield (Ha-Youly), executive director at Kw’umut Lelum Foundation, belongs to the Wilp Malii of the Gitxsan First Nation on her mother’s side and has German ancestry on her father’s side.
Jerome Lewis is a teacher of anthropology at University College London, a co-founder of Flourishing Diversity, and an adviser to Synchronicity Earth. He has been working with BaYaka hunter-gatherers in Congo since 1993.
