Rooted in Community: Native Planting at Agua Hedionda Lagoon
In celebration of San Diego Climate Week 2026, Frontwave Arena, Clean Energy Alliance, and the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation invite the community to plant native pollinator species and help restore critical habitat at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon. Rooted in Community: Native Planting at Agua Hedionda Lagoon brings together local youth, residents, and organizations to support biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, and encourage environmental action in North County.
Participants will work alongside environmental educators and restoration experts to restore native habitat within the Agua Hedionda Lagoon while learning about local ecosystems, climate resilience, and the importance of community collaboration.
More than a restoration project, this event demonstrates how sports organizations, public agencies, environmental nonprofits, and local students can work together toward a healthier, more sustainable future.
