About Event

Hey everyone,

This Wednesday 10-1115am PT / 1-215pm ET is our weekly digital get together to connect on how we are all making our way through this new era for creative industries and AI among other emergent technologies, sharing ideas, tips, knowledge amongst ourselves.

Our group is an amazing mix of creators/ producers/ builders/ some new to this stuff/ some OG/ all of us constantly learning.

This week we'll be joined by:

Bianca Pryor is Director of Data Science for Media & Entertainment, NVIDIA.  Bianca’s team views themselves as a new startup within NVIDIA’s Media & Entertainment (M&E) vertical.  The mission is to partner with streaming platforms and help solve 1P big data challenges using NVIDIA AI/ML/DL and computer vision products and solutions. Bianca spent the last 5 years at BET Media Group (BET, BET+ and VH1), a Paramount company, leading Insights & Multiplatform Analytics. Prior to that she spent many years in the insights and analytics industry building client relationships, leading teams from the front, driving impact and contributing thought leadership. She is also a member of the Television Academy and Black Women in AI.

Afro Futcha is a visionary British AI filmmaker, creative technologist, and educator whose work fuses storytelling, technology, and culture. Based in the UK, she crafts emotionally charged visual worlds that challenge how we see art in the age of algorithms.

Since beginning her AI filmmaking journey in late 2024, Afro Futcha has rapidly risen as one of the leading Black voices in the global AI creative movement. Her award-winning projects, including What Do I Know (winner of Project Odyssey), Give It to Me, and Warm Coat, as well as others, have gained recognition across the United States, Korea, Russia, Australia, and the UK.

She has been featured on the front page in Digital Frontier Magazine and was personally invited to TED AI Vienna to present “The Future of Creativity: An Intimate AI Movie Screening and Dialogue.” Afro Futcha also appeared on the BBC and the Evening Standard Podcast to discuss AI’s growing impact on the creative industries—championing its potential to democratise filmmaking and empower new voices.

Beyond her film work, Afro Futcha leads workshops worldwide, teaching others how to integrate AI into storytelling through institutions like Berghs School of Communication in Sweden and Ultra Education in London. Her art celebrates human emotion in a digital world—turning pixels into poetry.

What makes Afro Futcha stand out is that she didn’t come from a traditional filmmaking background but instead discovered her creative voice and talent through the use of AI, transforming a non-film path into an award-winning artistic journey.
