About Event

Join us for an inspiring evening of reflection, dialogue, and artistic insight at the Black Arts Panel, hosted by visionary artist Kai Gaynor.

The event will open with a 30-minute recap of Transcendent Femme: The Experience, a groundbreaking project led by Gaynor that celebrated Black femme creativity through a residency at the GOCA Project Space and a series of immersive highlight events. This segment will include a special screening of the Transcendent Femme recap film, offering a powerful look back at the journey, the art, and the community that shaped this transformative experience.

Following the screening, Kai will moderate a short but impactful panel discussion featuring prominent Black artists based in Colorado. Together, they will explore the current state of Black artistry within the region, discussing the challenges, triumphs, and visions for the future of Black creative expression in Colorado.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with local Black artists, reflect on the legacy of Transcendent Femme, and be part of an ongoing conversation about representation, creativity, and community in the arts.
