Workshop: Craftivism for the Craft-Curious Citizen
Beginner-focused workshop on how to easily engage with Craftivism no matter where you're located! We will start with answering "What is Craftivism?" and end with "How can I support a craftivism project or create my own?"
You will come out of the workshop feeling empowered to engage with Craftivism whatever way is best for you to do so!
🧵In this workshop, you will learn:
The history of Craftivism (Highlighting Big Craftivism Moments in recent history, such as the Pussyhats featured at the Women’s March in Washington D.C. in 2017)
The place of Craftivism as protest
Easy ways to make Craftivism crafts and projects, plus a demo!
Resources for getting involved in and supporting active Craftivism projects
Next steps
🎨 For the full experience, I recommend having the following in front of you during the workshop (optional):
A few pieces of copy paper or construction paper for Zine making
Something to take notes/sketch on
Any other art or craft supplies you enjoy using!
