A workshop in facing core conflict

We all care about climate...and disagree about AI.

Is AI the tool that’ll let us move fast enough? Are data centers undoing the progress we’ve worked so hard for and that still isn’t enough? If AI-run grids can absorb new demand, is the strain a transition cost? Whither the Jevons paradox?

These conversations are happening at our dinner tables, in our workplaces, and between those deciding on our present and future...and a lot of them are getting stuck on Who’s right?

This session is about getting unstuck.

Mediator Rae Lieff Axelbank leads an interactive workshop on the skills to turn fraught conversations into productive exchange.

How it works:

Take a stand: Choose the position on AI and climate that’s closest to your own, and bring your real view into the conversation.

Cross the room: Team up in pairs and trios with someone who landed somewhere different.

Find what’s underneath: With guided prompts, work backward together from each position to the interests beneath, what each of you actually cares about, what you’re scared of, where your facts differ, and where your interests align — maybe more than you’d expect.

You’ll leave with...

...a clearer perspective on the AI/climate debate as a whole — how we’re ALL in the mix here — and a practical framework you can bring back to your cofounders, stakeholders, and loved ones.

This is for...

...founders, climate professionals, investors, students, and anyone who has ever felt stuck in conversation. No expertise needed, just a willingness to listen and desire to learn.
