About Event

"AI is a trend, but more importantly, it’s an outlet for those who love to create."

Over the past three years, we’ve witnessed young builders who didn't necessarily come from the most "prestigious" backgrounds or start with a "perfect" business plan. They started with an idea, a few lines of code, and an accidental spark at a hackathon.

We believe that when AI has become the invisible infrastructure, the ultimate challenge is how we—as humans—redefine 'creativity' in this constant dialogue between the classical and the modern.

Welcome to the Global AI Hackathon Tour 2026 · London. After the success in Hangzhou and Shanghai, let’s witness the birth of the next era together.

Watcha is China's largest AI product launch and community platform, bringing together brilliant AI products, enthusiasts, and one-person-company (OPC) builders from the globe.

FAQ❓

Q1: I'm not a contestant. May I come along to watch the demos in person?

A: Absolutely! On Day 2 (19th April), we welcome visitors to join and experience our live demos, join the panel discussions, and exchange your ideas with judges.

Q2: I'm on my own — what if I haven't got a team?

A: Not a problem at all! There'll be a team-forming session on the day, and once you've registered, you can join our London WhatsApp and WeChat groups to find teammates in advance. The event will be conducted primarily in English, and we welcome anyone with a passion for AI. Bilingual support will be available on site. Code knows no borders.

Q3: Do I need to bring my own laptop?

A: Yes, please do bring your own laptop. We'll provide Wi-Fi, power, and plenty of snacks and drinks to keep you going.

Q4: I'm not very experienced — can I still sign up?

A: This event isn't aimed at those encountering AI for the very first time. We're looking to bring together people who've already been getting their hands dirty with AI and are keen to explore the possibilities of human–AI co-creation further. Through collaboration across diverse backgrounds, we hope to produce richer and more inventive outcomes. That said, you're more than welcome to come along as a spectator.

Q5: Are there specific themes or tracks?

A: We've set up three tracks: AI + Media, AI + Universality, and AI + Productivity. Come and have a go!
