Nature Talks: Docent-Led Black Gold Exhibit Gallery Walk
Nature Talks
Nature Talks blends the restorative power of the outdoors with insightful discussions on our connection to the environment, sustainability, history and the world around us. It’s also a chance to meet like-minded individuals, spark new ideas, and build meaningful connections—all while walking together in nature.
Black Gold Exhibit Docent Led Walk
Join for a docent-led Nature Talks walk at Fort Point, where we’ll explore Black Gold: Stories Untold. This powerful exhibition features 17 contemporary artists reflecting on the resilience, struggles, and triumphs of African Americans in California from the Gold Rush through Reconstruction (c. 1849–1877). Along the way, you’ll hear stories of Black entrepreneurs, the Buffalo Soldiers, and everyday heroes whose contributions shaped the state’s history. Enjoy the fresh air, connect with others, and spark meaningful conversation as you take in both art and nature.
