About Event

Your title hasn't changed. Your job has.

Software engineering is changing as we speak.

The bottleneck of the engineering job now is knowing what to ask for, how to constrain it, how to verify it, and how to stay in control of a system that increasingly acts on your behalf.

LeapXpert's Sofia engineering hub has been living this transition in production. On 15 April, three engineers from their AI-native team are opening the floor to show exactly what that looks like.

What's on the agenda

Ivo Delchev, Director of Engineering at LeapXpert's Sofia hub, opens the evening by mapping the forces driving the shift — and what it truly means when your job title stays the same but the nature of the work underneath it transforms completely.

Valeri Chakarov, Senior Software Engineer with a decade of hands-on development experience, takes it into the day-to-day: how workflows have changed, how ownership has shifted, and what it actually means to be a strong engineer in an environment where AI handles the implementation.

Ivan Stoilov, Senior AI Engineer and former VMware staff engineer with deep expertise in generative AI and machine learning, walks through a live case study — a step-by-step look at LeapXpert's autonomous development pipeline, from planning through execution to verification. This is not a tool showcase. It is a production workflow, with the friction and failure modes included.

The three then sit down for a moderated discussion: the tradeoffs, the risks, the things that broke, and what the shift to AI-native development genuinely demands from engineering teams and the people leading them.

Networking follows — an open floor to continue the conversation, ask the hard questions, and connect with engineers navigating the same transition.

Who should come

Senior and mid-level software engineers. Engineering managers and tech leads. Architects and platform engineers. Anyone who wants a ground-level, unsponsored view of what AI-native development looks like when it's actually working and what it costs to get there.
