🌟 Why Join 🌙

This night is about more than lanterns on the water... it’s about what they represent. 🔥

Each lantern carries a piece of you: your reflections, your gratitude, and your hopes for what’s ahead. Together, we’ll light them up and release them on the lake, creating a shared moment of intention, connection, and community. 😌

It’s a chance to pause, breathe, and appreciate the journey. 🌊

💵 Cost Breakdown

  • Water Taxi (to Ward’s Island): $13 one way

  • Ferry (return): Free of charge

  • Lanterns (provided at event): $3 each (includes candle)

Total: Around $16 for the full experience (will vary based on your potluck item).

🧺 What to Bring

  • Mat, picnic blanket, or cushion

  • Potluck food to share 🍲

  • Reusable or disposable cutlery and cups if you have them

  • Pencils will be provided ✍️

Potluck note: If your dish has allergens or dietary-specific ingredients (e.g. nuts, pork, beef, dairy), please add a small note so everyone can enjoy safely and mindfully 🌱❤️

🌅 Evening Flow

5:30 – 6:00 PM | Arrivals and Setup

Meet at the Jack Layton Ferry Water Taxi area at 5:30 PM. Head to Ward’s Island Beach. Set down blankets, get comfy, settle in.

6:00 – 6:30 PM | Circle and Introductions

Share your name, why you came, and one gratitude. Grounding chats and potluck bites to start.

6:30 – 6:40 PM | Gratitude Meditation

Short guided visualization to set the tone.

6:50 – 7:00 PM | Lantern Decorating and Reflection

Use an intention card to reflect, then decorate your lantern with affirmations, symbols, or art. 🎨

7:30 – 8:30 PM | Lantern Launch

We'll take a quick group photo with your decorated lanterns!

As we set our lanterns afloat, we’ll release fears, plant hopes, and let gratitude flow into the night. Your lantern will be a moving piece of art: a symbol of light, renewal, and shared connection. ✨

8:30 PM onwards | Freestyle Chill Vibes

Hang out, connect, and enjoy the afterglow by the water. 🌊🔥

9:20 PM

We’ll start tidying up and getting ready to head to the ferry. You’re welcome to stay in the afterglow longer, but please keep in mind the last ferry is at 11:45 PM. Make sure all belongings are packed up and the area is clean before heading to the terminal on time.
