Real-time carbon intelligence: turning digital impact into better decisions
Every digital decision has a physical consequence. The AI model we choose, the cloud region we use and the way a product scales can all change the energy, carbon and infrastructure behind it, yet most teams cannot see those consequences while they are building.
In this ClimateAction.tech session, we'll explore how we can move beyond carbon reporting towards real-time environmental intelligence, making environmental impact visible at the moment decisions are made.
Our guests:
James Hall (GreenPixie) will look at how digital carbon can be measured and connected with energy, infrastructure and cost.
Mark Buss (OVO) will share a case study exploring how carbon visibility can support better decision-making.
Paolo Rizzi (ustwo) will share PRISM, an open-source experiment developed with the University of Bristol that brings estimates of AI's environmental impact directly into a developer's workflow, and what we learned about whether visibility can actually influence behaviour.
