Intro into commons - the commons game 🎣
At the Commons Hub, we believe in the power of the commons and commoning as part of the solution toward a more balanced, regenerative economy (better management of our resources) and a more resilient society (stronger, healthier human relationships).
Commoning might actually be the most selfish thing you can do—it’s about survival. Or, as we like to say at the Hub: community is immunity.
This Friday afternoon, we’ll take the time to play the Commons Game, an interactive, in-person experience that lets you explore on a deeper level what commons are, why we need them, where things went wrong, and how we can organize to restore them.
Expect some fun, some actual fishing, juicy conversations, a dose of self-discovery, and fresh insights into how we got here. You’ll leave with a solid understanding of:
the commons
the tragedy of the commons
the key principles for healthy commons from Elinor Ostrom (who won the Nobel Prize for her research)
Come join us for this interactive game!
☕️🥤Drink and small snack included.
