Wimborne Dorset Cultural Strategy 2026- 2031 Workshop

​Working with Dorset Council, we’re creating a new five-year cultural strategy for Dorset. It will build on the current strategy and will begin in April 2026. 

​​The purpose of the strategy is to unite the cultural sector in shared endeavour, taking advantage of shared opportunities or responding to shared challenges. By doing this, the aim is to enable more cultural activity to take place and more people to engage with culture.

​​To ensure this strategy fully reflects the brilliance of the cultural sector and those who engage in culture in Dorset, we’re keen to hear from a wide range of people. So this September, we’re holding three workshops across Dorset.

​​Bridport’s Lyric Theatre on the 19th September, 12:30- 3:30pm,

​​Sturminster Newton’s Exchange on the 25th September, 6-9pm

​​Wimborne’s Museum of East Dorset on the 29th September, 10am-1pm.

​​Drinks and snacks will be provided at all sessions.

​​This will be an opportunity to hear about the development of the strategy so far, to interrogate and challenge, add perspective and provide solutions. It’s an open invitation for critical friends and friendly critics.

​​ For those who can’t attend, there’ll be an opportunity to share thoughts through an online survey between 19th-30th September.
