β---
βVCs and founders walk into a bar... and actually talk to each other.
βJoin Capitalize VC and Transparent Collective for a laid-back happy hour built for real conversations β no pitch decks required (but we won't stop you). Whether you're raising, deploying, or just surviving SXSW, come decompress with good drinks and even better company.
βThis one's intentional. We're creating space for minority and women founders and investors to connect, build relationships, and celebrate the work, because these rooms don't always exist on their own. All are welcome to join us.
βCome mix, mingle, and make the kind of connections that don't happen in a conference room.
βThursday, March 12 | 5β7 PM During SXSW | Austin, TX
βSpots are limited. Come early, stay late, and leave with a new favorite contact in your phone.
βA special thank you to our sponsor, Deloitte for making this event happen.
ββAbout Transparent Collective
ββTransparent Collective is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps Black, Latin, and women founders access the resources and connections they need to build successful tech companies.
ββWe began with the mission to solve a fundamental problem plaguing Silicon Valley: that less than 1% of VC Funding is invested in Black and Latino founders.
ββIn 2015, James Norman βstarted TC after personally experiencing and recognizing the harsh reality that raising money to grow tech startups as a non-white male in Silicon Valley was an uphill battle. James brought together an incredible team, Rohini Pandhi and Lara McKeithan, to build a community of startup founders who could talk candidly about their unique challenges and explore fundraising strategies to help them succeed. Hence, the name Transparent Collective.
ββOur first batch of founders came through our program in 2016, and since then, we have had a competitive application process for our week-long intensive program in San Francisco that touches on all the key aspects of founding and running an early-stage startup.
ββOur Impact to Date:
ββ92 TC Alumni
ββ65% of Founders Have Raised VC Funding
ββ9% of Alumni Have Been Acquired
ββ$125M+ Early-Stage Funding Raised to Date
