future of filmmaking
"To AI or not to AI" — Hamlet, William Shakespeare lol
Let’s get it straight — people hate AI slop.
In fact, even that em dash a few words back probably annoyed you. Or maybe the sentence case did.
But is hating enough? Because in a world where tech is evolving faster than ever, AI adoption is inevitable. The real question is: to what degree and how?
Let’s find out together in the heart of San Francisco!
Compose along with our friends at Composio (promise you, we didn't plan this :P) & Machine Cinema invite you to a special meetup where we’ll not just talk about the future of filmmaking, but actually make films.
The idea is simple:
Make a short film in 4 hours (2–5 mins runtime)
Solo or with friends (max 4 people per team)
Use any gear you want — FX3, iPhone, or Sora whatever
schedule:
10:30am: check-in + coffee & bagels
11:00am: creative workshop on modern storytelling
12:00pm: start crafting
3:30pm: submissions
4:00pm: film screening + social hours
We don’t care about your camera, crew size, or budget.
Just tell us a damn good story.
Love & peace,
Sheetal from Compose
