BEND DOWN SELECT: A READING ROOM

​Join us on March 8th for a lovely day at Bend Down Select – Okrika's reading room series. This will take place at the iconic Flatiron Arts Building. This is an opportunity to dive into a world of African + Black literature and music in a unique, laid-back setting.

​Explore a meticulously curated collection of books dedicated to our leading mothers of literature (Happy Women's History Month) and chill at our listening stations exploring various CDs from my collection (we are very analog over here). Complimentary refreshments will be on hand - Hibiscus tea from Ruby's and cookies from Miki's Cookies.

​Whether you're flipping through pages, enjoying the music, or just soaking in the vibe, there's no rush; please wander and enjoy at your leisure. Admission is $5 and donations of any amount are warmly welcomed. We can’t wait to see you there!
