Asia’s First Bittensor(dAI)
Dialogue

6PM SEP 24, 2025

dAI.log = dAI + log

: Asia’s first entry
in Bittensor and the start of a world-changing dialogue

Just as Bitcoin initiated the blockchain revolution, Bittensor has launched the decentralized AI revolution.

Decentralized AI is a 'movement' that seeks to transform the AI ecosystem from a closed, centralized model to a community-driven, open-source model—much like Linux did in the past. It goes beyond simple open source to envision distributed participants jointly operating and owning the entire AI pipeline, including training, fine-tuning, inference, data collection/labeling, and evaluation.

In the Bittensor ecosystem, the procurement and distribution of infrastructure and funding needed for AI research and service development differs from the approach led by existing big tech companies; it operates through token rewards via Web3 protocols and fair competition in an open environment. Anyone can build and scale AI projects leveraging the infrastructure and machine intelligence secured in the Bittensor community.

Brightmount has organized dAI.log because we believe Asian AI researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs need Bittensor the most.

We want to be of resource to…

  • Builders focused on creating meaningful blockchain application

  • AI entrepreneurs ready to launch their next venture

  • Researchers seeking accessible pathways to AI development

  • Visionaries exploring Web3-AI convergence or challenging BigTech's AI dominance

Speaker

Jacob Steeves - Founder of Bittensor

Jacob Robert Steeves, is the Co-founder of Bittensor, an open-source protocol supporting a decentralized machine-learning network built on blockchain technology. He pursued his studies at Simon Fraser University, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Mathematics and Computer Science between 2011 and 2015.

Unlike traditional AI platforms run by big companies, Bittensor follows Bitcoin’s approach to keep AI open, clear, and hard to control. The network lets developers, researchers, and users work together without depending on one central group.
