About Event

Host: Angela N. Moore, Principal Investigator

Description: Join Principal Investigator Angela N. Moore for a casual "POP-UP" exploring the intersection of NASA citizen science and interdisciplinary arts. This informal session offers an introductory look at NASA’s data and affiliated projects, highlighting how they overlap with the artistic and literary initiatives of The Moore Signal Archive LLC—a hub for interdisciplinary research inquiries.

🔭 What to Expect

This intimate pop-up is designed as a casual, collaborative workspace. Rather than a formal academic lecture, this session is an invitation into my independent learning journey as a citizen scientist. I will be sharing my real-world experiences navigating raw data, tracking my progress, and demonstrating how anyone can engage with space science and creative curation.

Together, we will:

  • Discover: Review the light-curve data mapping process tracked through NASA’s Exoplanet Watch utilizing EXOTIC Python software, alongside my current focus on deep space classification projects via Zooniverse.

  • Explore the Hub: See how my private GitHub repository acts as a centralized dashboard tracking my interdisciplinary research—connecting inquiries spanning deep space data, contemporary poetry, and my local geocaching physical artifact hunt (The Moore Archive).

  • Interact: Scan a single QR code to enter a custom digital interactive hub, where you can navigate official 3D NASA planetary simulations right on your smartphone.

  • Co-Create & Take Home: Select a single word describing your planetary observations to inspire an ongoing digital repository of cosmic Haiku. To mark the conclusion of the session, you will receive a physical archival memento to take home with you.
