Tech@Night: Black History Month Edition — Building Legacy in the Age of AI

Join us for a special Black History Month edition of Tech@Night, presented in partnership with Microsoft, bringing together tech professionals, founders, civic leaders, and community members for an evening of connection, reflection, and forward-looking conversation.

This Tech@Night will celebrate Black history, innovation, and leadership while exploring how artificial intelligence is shaping legacy, access, and opportunity across Washington’s tech ecosystem and beyond.

What to Expect

✨ Tech Community Networking Mixer
Kick off the evening with intentional networking, refreshments, and meaningful connection with techies, innovators, and partners from across the region.

🤖 Live Agentic AI Demo
Experience a live demo of a Native AI Toolkit using Microsoft Copilot and learn the fundamentals of building your own AI agent. Aja Hall (Product Designer & Chair of BAM Puget Sound, Microsoft) will share practical insights on how AI can enhance work efficiency, support career development, and unlock new opportunities in entrepreneurship.

🔥 Fireside Chat with WA Attorney General Nick Brown
We’ll continue the evening with a dynamic, moderated fireside conversation featuring Washington’s 19th Attorney General Nick Brown in conversation with Microsoft’s Altrese Hawkins-Gopie (Group Program Manager, Responsible AI Compliance & Operations, Microsoft). Together, they’ll dive into leadership at a defining moment — exploring responsible and accessible AI, the evolving role of public service, and what it truly means to build lasting legacy as technology reshapes democracy, economic opportunity, and trust in our communities.
