AI Salon Zurich x CAIF – AI and Human Relationships
As AI systems increasingly mediate communication, intimacy, care, and social interaction, they are no longer peripheral technologies but active participants in how relationships are formed, maintained, and experienced. From recommendation systems and dating platforms to AI companions, therapeutic chatbots, and algorithmically curated social spaces – AI reshapes not only how we connect, but also what we expect from connection.
This salon proposes a reflective, interdisciplinary conversation that moves beyond dystopian or utopian narratives to examine lived experience, ethical boundaries, and cultural implications.
Rather than panels or presentations, the AI Salon offers a moderated dialogue and space for listening, questioning, and collective sense-making among all participants. The goal is not to arrive at definitive answers, but to surface tensions, lived experiences, ethical questions, and emerging imaginaries around human–AI interaction.
AI Salon Zurich launches its first gathering in collaboration with the Creative AI Foundation (CAIF) – a Zurich-based platform dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of AI, robotics, and their future impact on society.
