Thinking With AI Executive Edition: Keeping Your Judgement in the Loop
AI is already part of how you and your team work.
But which decisions are you still making? Which parts of your judgment have you started handing over without noticing?
This working session is for executives and senior leaders accountable for decisions shaped by AI.
Through a business scenario and discussion with peers, you’ll examine how AI frames a problem and practise directing its contribution while keeping ownership of the decision.
You’ll practise:
Distinguishing evidence from assumptions—including those introduced by AI.
Using AI to question your thinking and explore alternative explanations.
Identifying what information or expertise you need before acting.
Explaining your decision, what remains uncertain, and what would change your mind.
We’ll introduce a practical sensemaking process you can apply when the information is incomplete and there’s no obvious right answer.
This is for you if:
You already use AI in work that informs consequential decisions.
You’ve noticed yourself or your team accepting its answers without fully examining them.
You want practical ways to remain an active decision-maker as AI takes on more of the work.
No technical background needed. Bring your experience of decisions you’ve made, delegated, or are still unsure about.
The focus is on judgment and decision-making with AI, rather than tool tutorials or technical implementation.
Leave with a process for answering: what do I understand, what am I taking on trust, and what do I need to investigate before acting?
About Us
Jason Nguyen is Managing Director of HumanBehaviour AI and co-founder of BehSci meets AI. As a professional poker player, he used game-theory solvers and machine-learning tools to test his thinking and develop a competitive edge—while learning when to depart from their recommendations as opponents and circumstances changed. He brings that experience to helping leaders work with AI while retaining ownership of their judgment.
Dr Fendi Tsim, PhD is a behavioural scientist exploring how AI shapes human judgment, learning and decision-making. He holds a PhD in Behavioural Science from Warwick Business School. He is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Behavioral AI Institute and collaborating with Harvard Medical School researchers on AI’s role in clinical reasoning. He co-created the SCAN framework with Alina Gutoreva and co-founded BehSci meets AI, bringing research into practical conversations about how people retain judgment when working with machines.
We will be running this workshop @ Resident Company Club: A curated workspace for startups, founders, and VCs, designed to foster meaningful connections and collaboration.
