After Architecture: Education, Profession

​Many of us embraced architectural education, but escaped the traditional grasp of the profession to build novel, interdisciplinary careers. We’re fascinated by where we ended up and what it might mean for architectural education — and architecture — today.

​Join Nicholas de Monchaux, Professor and Head of Architecture at MIT, and Noah Landow, Founder CEO of Macktez, as we lead an exploration and discussion about the nature of architectural education and its future. 

​This invitation-only event is a round-table* group discussion on the evolving nature of careers, the diversity of thinking that architecture can engage, and how the changing nature of careers for architectural graduates can help us understand the shifting role of education in our society and economy.  

​Join us and share your lived experiences and hear about those of accomplished people in a range of fields.

​This event is part of the Tête-à-Tech Series hosted in person at the Macktez has offices in New York City's East Village. Modest food and drink will be served and they’ll be time to mingle after the event to catch up with or get to know fellow participants. 

​(* It's technically one long table that seats 26 peple; not literally round.)

Event Structure
We ask that guests arrive between 7-7:30 pm to minimize disruption during the discussion.

7 pm - Doors open, opportunity to mingle over snacks and sips
7:30 pm - Take seats for the discussion
8:15 pm - Informal mixer resumes
