Boston University Blockchain's Beginner Hackathon & Pitchathon 2025

​The Boston University Blockchain Club is excited to host our first Beginner Hackathon & Pitchathon, a beginner-focused event designed to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of blockchain innovators. This event brings together students from top universities across the Greater Boston area to explore Web3 technologies, develop innovative solutions, and pitch their ideas to industry experts and investors.

• ​Date: November 16, 2025

• ​Location: Photonics Building (PHO 906), Boston University

  • ​8 St Mary's St, Boston, MA 02215

• ​Participants: students from universities across the Greater Boston area
  

• ​We will be having two tracks:

  • ​Technical 

    • ​Topic: Open Innovation

    • ​Requirements: Full smart contracts, public repo, pitch deck

    • ​Prize: 1st $400, 2nd $200, 3rd $100

  • ​Pitchathon 

    • ​Topic: AI x Web3, DeFi, Be Creative

    • ​Requirements: Pitch deck, business plan

    • ​Prize: 1st $400, 2nd $200, 3rd $100

​Schedule for the day:

​• 9:00 AM – Check-in & breakfast

​• 10:00 AM – Team formation & hacking begins

​• 12:30 PM – Lunch

​• 4:15 PM – Pitchathon Presentations

​• 5:30 PM – Winner announcements & prizes
