GC Masterclass: Build Your Narrative Universe - Paul Propster NASA JPL
Every breakthrough idea needs an ecosystem around it — a narrative universe that makes people care, understand, and remember. In this masterclass, Paul Propster (the former Story Architect at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory) guides you through the same systems-level storytelling approach used to shape missions, align teams, and turn complex concepts into compelling movements.
You’ll explore how narratives emerge from the beliefs you hold — and the beliefs held by the people and communities around you. Paul will share real stories from his work at NASA to show how these belief systems shape everything from mission design to public trust. You’ll leave knowing how to map the signals, tensions, and values that define your idea’s world — and how to build a narrative system that makes your vision feel inevitable, resonant, and ready for real-world traction.

About Paul Propster:
Paul’s talent for communicating complexity — and embracing the “right kind of crazy” — led him to launch StoryLab, NASA’s first story accelerator. As Founder and Chief Story Architect, he used storytelling and narrative strategy to amplify JPL’s impact on humanity.
He co-led a $1.5M NASA HQ initiative to teach proposal writing to diverse communities, helped develop JPL’s first Strategic Plan in over a decade, and created a workshop to turn subject-matter experts into “credible messengers” for mission-critical narratives.
