Batteries for electric vehicles and consumer electronics require critical minerals like lithium, nickel, cobalt, graphite. These materials have the potential to produce high GHG emissions and contribute to environmental pollution and human rights infringements. Ferdinand from Tesla's Battery Responsible Sourcing team will present on what companies are doing to make sure their supply chains don't offset the positive impact of their products.
