This session
Across cultures, there has always been a certain character who meets life with humour, lightness, and a sideways glance. Someone who dares to laugh at themselves. Someone who exposes the absurdities of everyday seriousness.
This session explores that spirit. What does it take to move through life with playful courage? To loosen the grip of perfection? To respond to challenges with curiosity instead of control?
Takeaways
A felt sense of how lightness and humour can shift your perspective in real time.
Practical physical tools from improvisation to embody playfulness in everyday life
We will work with physical methods from improv theatre alongside philosophical impulses that gently stretch the way we think.
Today's guide
This session is led by a Berlin-based author, trainer, and coach working at the intersection of embodied intelligence, improvisation, and futures thinking. With academic backgrounds in banking, communication science, and media psychology, and professional experience in German and US finance and tech, he has spent over 25 years practicing improvisational theatre. His work translates the principles of improv into leadership, collaboration, and transformation, combining physical exercises with sharp conceptual thinking.

What others said
“It felt focused but fun. You were constantly responding to what was happening, not trying to be clever.”

What is Uncommon Club?
Uncommon Club creates guided group sessions built around shared novelty, doing something unfamiliar together, in a way that feels safe, human, and intentional.
We believe that when people step into a new experience at the same time, without knowing exactly what will happen, habits soften, curiosity opens, and connection becomes more natural.
That’s why Uncommon Club sessions are:
carefully guided and consent-led,
designed around presence rather than performance,
and kept partly a surprise.
What Uncommon Club is, and isn’t
Uncommon Club is:
✅ A guided, facilitator-led group experience
✅ Focused on curiosity, embodiment, and human connection
✅ Structured, consent-led, and psychologically safe
Uncommon Club is not:
❌ A party or club night
❌ An intense fitness class
❌ A networking event
❌ A sexual setting
❌ Therapy, counselling, or treatment
How our sessions work
Every Uncommon Club session is carefully guided and unfolds in phases
Phase 1️⃣ — Arrival
Arrive, settle, and land in the space and group.
Phase 2️⃣ — Warm-up
Gentle invitations help you arrive in your body and the moment.
Phase 3️⃣ — Exploration
The heart of the session. Playful, embodied and surprising.
Phase 4️⃣ — Reflection
We slow things down and let the experience settle.
Phase 5️⃣ — Connection
A clear closing moment, with space to linger.. or leave quietly.
