About Event

Building Greener with Direct Air Capture and Carbon-Storing Concrete in Africa" will explore how Direct Air Capture (DAC) and carbon mineralization can support Africa’s green industrialisation, circular economy and sustainable construction ambitions.

Drawing on Kenya’s emerging carbon mineralization ecosystem, the event will showcase how captured CO₂ can be used in concrete production to permanently store carbon while supporting industrial innovation, job creation and low-carbon infrastructure development.

The session will be a high-level panel discussion bringing together Kenyan government officials, DACStorE, Carbon Removal Kenya Association, ZEN Carbon and multilateral partners.

Discussions will focus on technological progress, practical deployment experiences, policy and regulatory enablers, green public procurement, financing, and opportunities to scale and replicate these solutions across Africa. The event aims to strengthen policy dialogue, mobilize investment and foster partnerships for the responsible development of carbon mineralization technologies.
