About Event

Welcome to our Greater Boston Repair & Recycle Social for September 2025!

Our September event will be focused on making your damaged items usable and beautiful (Repair) and directing e-waste to the appropriate and safe recycling streams (Recycle).

We will have 3 repair stations: Patch-Making and Garment Mending, Jewelry Repair & Upcycling, and Kintsugi

What to Bring (all are optional but encouraged):

-Damaged clothes, accessories, jewelry, ceramics, & other items to repair or upcycle (if you don’t have something to fix of your own, we’ll have options for you at each station)

-Used batteries & other e-waste (the hosts will make sure they are properly recycled after the event)

-Vegan/vegetarian food to enjoy during the event

This event is open to all women & nonbinary folks interested in sustainability, whether you have attended many of our events or none at all, whether you are starting out on your sustainability journey or are a seasoned reuse/recycle/repurpose-er. Join us to gather in a relaxed, welcoming space to create, repair, and build community!

Our gatherings are a fun way to make new friends and chat about all things climate, sustainability, etc. See a summary of our past events here.

Host: This event will be organized by WAC City Lead Alexa Jackson

Venue: Still Life Studios is centered around community, sustainability, and getting the last drop out of our things, including items often discarded. Regular programming includes workshops aimed at reuse and repair that invite us to live more slowly and sustainably. Each session will help us become empowered in consuming intentionally, while giving new life to items that have been damaged or left unused. There’s still life left in these items, and we get to create with it. Join us in saving ourselves and our things.

Logistics:

Tickets: $15 Your ticket covers our use of the space and Still Life Studio’s Emily’s time and skills leading the activities. (If you are unable to afford the fee for this event, please reach out to info@stillifestudios and we will work it out!)
