About Event

Join us for a nature-immersed Collective Collage Library gathering!

We will be collaging with turmeric anthotype prints while also learning how to create your own using this slow, sun-developed, plant-based process. Together, we will explore the differences between anthotypes and cyanotypes, and why anthotypes offer a more regenerative, earth-connected approach to image-making.

Because anthotypes develop gradually in sunlight and this gathering takes place in the late afternoon, we will guide you in creating your own turmeric solution to take home, so you can continue experimenting with the sun in your own time.

We will meet at The Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Park! If the weather is sunny, we will gather outdoors at the picnic tables on the north side of the building. If not, we will meet inside the trailhead building.

All materials will be provided, and you are welcome to bring your own collage elements. If you are part of the library, please bring your collage book. If you are new, bring a secondhand hardcover book you feel comfortable contributing and exchanging with others.

This gathering is part of our Creative Regenerative Workshop Series, where we share practices rooted in the gift economy: cyclical, reciprocal, and nourishing for both people and the planet.

About the facilitator, Gifting Grove

In a world increasingly disconnected from nature and each other, Gifting Grove’s mission is to provide in-person gatherings and digital experiences to practice the gift economy - nurturing connectivity, creativity, and mutual flourishing. Through gatherings like this, we explore a culture where value is measured not by what we take, but by what we share.
