​Thanksgiving can be tender—beautiful for some, complicated for others.
This year, The Commons opens its doors as a warm landing place for anyone seeking connection, comfort, or simply a table to belong at.

​Join us for A Commons Friendsgiving, a cozy day of slow crafting, shared projects, and a communal feast led by Cody’s famous, soul-warming beef stew. Throughout the day, the space will hum with gentle creativity—jewelry making, writing, painting—and the soft ebb of people arriving whenever it feels right.

​At 6:30pm, we gather for dinner: a potluck-style feast shaped by whatever delicious dishes our community brings together. Afterward, we’ll melt into a shared food-coma glow with cartoons or movies on the projector, chosen collectively in the moment.

​Whether you’re a member, someone’s +1, or simply a person looking for a place to land on Thanksgiving Day, you’re welcome here. This is a space for found family, gentle joy, and the quiet magic of being together.

​🕰 Flow / Schedule

• ​All Day (Drop-In):
  Crafts, personal projects, soft socializing, settling in. Come whenever resonates.

• ​6:00pm – 6:30pm:
  Warm mingling, arrivals, potluck setup.

• ​6:30pm:
  Friendsgiving Dinner — beef stew + community dishes.

• ​7:30pm – 9:30pm:
  Post-dinner unwind: communal crafting stations, movie/cartoon chosen together, open conversation, rest, cozy vibes.

​Cody Hasty
Space Operations Manager at The Commons. Cody is on a personal mission to cultivate belonging and nurture the “found family” that lives and grows within these walls. A dedicated maker, cook, and gentle community steward, Cody crafts spaces where people can exhale deeply and feel at home.

​You’re welcome to drop in anytime during the day for crafts and company.
If you’d like a full plate and first pick at the potluck, plan to arrive by 6:30pm when dinner begins.
Look for signs at the entrance; the space will be open and welcoming throughout.
