About Event

A great product can win someone's attention. A great onboarding experience gives them a reason to stay.

But how do you turn a first-time visitor into someone who understands your product, finds value in it, and wants to keep coming back?

Join us for a Design School session on Designing the Front Door, where we’ll explore how thoughtful design shapes first impressions, guides users through onboarding, and makes complex product experiences feel simple.

Through a real-world Salesforce case study, Komal Agrawal will share how the team approached onboarding, the problems they worked to solve, and the design decisions behind creating a smoother experience for users.

We'll go beyond the final screens to understand the thinking, trade-offs, and collaboration that go into designing the first few moments of a product journey.

Why Design School?

Great design is rarely just about making things look good. It’s about understanding people, solving the right problems, and making products easier to use.

But learning design from theory alone can only take you so far. You need to see how experienced designers approach real problems, navigate constraints, make trade-offs, and work with product and engineering teams to bring ideas to life.

That’s why we’re building Design School by AI Learn Circle.

We’re creating a space where designers, product managers, and builders can learn directly from practitioners, unpack real-world case studies, exchange perspectives, and get better at the craft of building products people love to use.

Less theory for the sake of theory. More learning from the work itself.

Meet the speaker: Komal Agrawal

Komal Agrawal is a Senior UX Designer at Salesforce and previously worked as a Senior UX Designer at PayPal.

With experience designing digital experiences at leading technology companies, Komal brings a practitioner’s perspective on solving user problems, shaping product journeys, and making complex experiences feel simple.

Who should join?

  • UX and product designers looking to sharpen their craft.

  • Product managers who want to understand onboarding and design decisions more deeply.

  • Founders and AI builders who want to create better product experiences.

If you care about how people discover, understand, and experience products, this session is for you.

About AI Learn Circle

AI Learn Circle is a community of builders, product managers, designers, and growth professionals who believe the best way to learn is by doing, sharing, and building together.

Through hands-on workshops, buildathons, jams, and practitioner-led sessions, we bring people together to move beyond theory and learn skills they can put to work.

Design School extends that belief to design, giving people the opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners, explore real product challenges, and become more thoughtful builders.

We want to make learning from people doing the work more accessible, collaborative, and useful.

Community partner: Quash

Quash helps teams test mobile and web applications using AI, making it easier to find issues and ship with confidence.

We’re glad to have Quash supporting a community that cares about the entire product experience, from the first interaction a designer creates to the quality of the experience a user eventually receives.

Because designing a great front door is only the beginning. What happens after someone walks in matters just as much.

Come curious. Learn from the work. Build better experiences.

See you at Design School!
