About Event

We Create Our Futures isn’t your typical climate event – it’s a living experiment in what’s possible. An immersive celebration of climate solutions through art, fashion, music, and innovation, co-created by the community, for the community, and Mother Earth.

Part solarpunk runway, part open-mic uprising, part joyful rebellion, this evening blends culture, community, and imagination to ask: What if we actually lived in the world we’re fighting for?

From futuristic fashion to recycled art, interactive innovation labs to a dance floor powered by hope, this is where pop-tech meets grassroots magic.

Come gather with fellow dreamers, designers, and doers as we reimagine climate action – not as sacrifice, but as celebration. It's time to model the future like we mean it.

What is the dress code?
Earth wear. Dress like you're walking into the beautiful future where nature and people thrive together.

Think recycled or thrifted treasures, clothes you’ve customized yourself, pieces that show off your roots or heritage, and splashes of earthy colours. Add some funky accessories, flowers, or handmade touches – anything that feels creative, hopeful, and uniquely you.

What is solarpunk?
"Solarpunk" is a literary, artistic and social movement that envisions and works toward actualizing a sustainable future interconnected with nature and community.

The "solar" represents solar energy as a renewable energy source and an optimistic vision of the future that rejects climate doomerism, while the "punk" refers to do it yourself and the countercultural, post-capitalist, and re-indigenizing aspects of creating such a future.
