About Event

Welcome to the IDDV Talks Vancouver Series (#11)!

What does a design career actually look like when you don't have a map?

In this talk, we’re inviting an amazing speaker, Jorge Puebla, to share an insightful look into fifteen years of design work—ten of them spent in Canada, designing in a second language, and figuring things out along the way.

🌟About this talk: How Did I Get Here?

A designer's honest account of doing without a map.

"This talk follows my trajectory as a designer; not through a career plan, but through the work itself. Each project shaped what came next; each decision was made with curiosity and some self-trust, rarely with a clear answer. I'll share the work, the turns, and what I actually learned from doing. You'll decide if I got somewhere."

🎤 Meet Our Speaker:

Jorge Puebla is a graphic designer based in Canada with over 15 years of experience working across brand systems and digital experiences. His work focuses on creating clear, consistent visual languages, where typography and the use of colour intersect across everything he does.

Over the years, he has collaborated with teams across different disciplines and contributed to a range of design work spanning editorial, retail, and tech.

Originally from Spain, his interest in design was shaped early on by music and literature, which continue to influence how he approaches his work today.
