We are excited to continue our Micro Masterclass series at Public Makers in collaboration with the TUM Think Tank and are honored to welcome Christian Pfrang as our first speaker this semester!
🗣️ About Christian Pfrang:
Building a strong foundation through his studies in mathematics at Brown University, Christian started his work in finance at Morgan Staley and JP Morgan, where he worked as an Equity Derivatives Trader. His background later led him to Hong Kong, where he became Executive Director at Highbridge Capital Management and later on the Head of Quantitative Modeling at a leading investment fund.
In parallel to his financial career, Christian Pfrang also contributed to the media sphere, serving as a Lex Writer for the Financial Times. Building on this international and cross-sector experience, Christian transitioned into public sector leadership. He now plays a pivotal role in shaping Bavaria’s digital future by working at the Bayrisches Staatsministerium für Digitales, where he leads the Department “Zukunftswelten”. In addition, he serves as a Non-Resident Fellow at the GovTech Campus in Germany, further shaping thought leadership in digital governance and emerging technologies.
With a career trajectory that bridges science, finance, media and government, Christian Pfrang brings an extraordinary interdisciplinary perspective offering a rare vantage point on today’s digital and technological landscape – we look forward to hosting him!
