Paint and Sip: Art and Technology
You are invited to an informal evening of painting, discussion, dinner, and a group art project — hosted by Jolie Gan and Selena Yang.
Art and technology used to be much more entangled than they are now — think Bell Labs engineers building sculptures with physicists, or the Cybernetic Serendipity crowd.
What happens now when we get technologists, scientists, artists, and founders to co-imagine together?
This is how paint night look like:
First, Selena will give us a class about the basic of painting with Chinese watercolor.
Next we will give you tiles where you paint about your line of passion.
In the end, we will connect our tiles like a puzzle, forming the world that we built.
Expect open discussions on the history of art and tech, how and where they might again, and a collective piece co-created as a group by the end of the night over dinner.
By the end of the night we take a tangible artifact of our collaboration, and a deeper appreciation for how beautiful the intersection between art and science is.
