Strengthening Governance Effectiveness in Impact Organisations
About the session
Impact starts at the foundation of organisations. As the sector navigates rapid shifts across technology, geopolitics, and talent, governance has become one of the most decisive factors shaping resilience, legitimacy, and performance.
Drawing on SRI Executive’s 2026 Governance Effectiveness Survey, including in depth interviews with Board Members, Chairs, Corporate Secretaries, and sector leaders, this session explores what is working, what is evolving, and where constraints continue to hold organisations back.
Rather than staying at the level of theory, the session brings together data and lived experience to examine how governance shows up in practice, and how it can be strengthened in real organisational contexts.
What to expect
A mix of short insights and interactive discussion. The session will begin with key findings from across more than 40 organisations, followed by breakout conversations where participants reflect on their own governance challenges and learn from others.
