​HACK4EARTH comes to Budapest.

​After a month of open building across cybersecurity, efficient computing and resilient systems, selected HACK4EARTH teams come together for the 2026 Budapest Finale.

​The evening brings builders, developers, researchers, technologists and members of the open-source community into one room to see what was built, hear the thinking behind the projects and discover which teams will continue into TRACE LAB, our 3-Month Venture Lab.

​HACK4EARTH is built around a simple question:

​How do we build open digital systems that are more secure, more efficient and more resilient?

​The projects presented at the Finale have spent October exploring that question through working software.

​Who should attend?

​Developers, engineers, open-source contributors, founders, researchers, students, cybersecurity practitioners, sustainability professionals and anyone interested in how software intersects with infrastructure, resilience and the physical world.

​You do not need to have participated in the hackathon to attend the Budapest Finale.

​Early Bird: 4,900 HUF

​A limited early-bird allocation is available before general ticket sales.

​Registered HACK4EARTH participants receive complimentary Finale admission. Participant access will be issued separately and remains subject to venue capacity and RSVP.

​One winning team from each track will advance into TRACE LAB, a competitive three-month programme supporting promising projects with mentorship, technical capacity, real-world validation and access to funding opportunities.
