​This workshop explores kinetic and variable typography using p5.js, building on the new variable font support introduced in p5.js 2.0. Participants will learn how to combine motion, typography, and interaction to create expressive, responsive text. We’ll cover the fundamentals of p5.js, how to render and animate type, the basics of variable fonts, and how variable fonts can shift tone, weight, and rhythm—transforming typography into a living system.

This workshop is ideal for designers, artists, and beginners interested in creative coding, generative design, or experimental typography. No experience with p5js is presumed but some coding experience will be helpful
