Material Exchange is a Stockholm-headquartered digital sourcing platform revolutionizing how the fashion industry connects with material suppliers. Founded in 2017, the company enables apparel and footwear brands to source materials more efficiently and sustainably through its AI-powered assistant, Frank. With a global team of over 70 experts, Material Exchange operates across seven countries, including offices in Sweden, the US, Serbia, Italy, India, China, and the UK.
The company raised significant funding, including a €25 million round led by Molten Ventures, with support from investors such as Partech, Norrsken VC, Inventure, Day One Capital, and Lyra.
Zoltán Györkő – ex-CEO of Balabit, angel investor, board member at Startup Hungary
A seasoned entrepreneur and ecosystem builder, known as the co-founder and former CEO of Balabit, a Hungarian cybersecurity company that grew into a global player. Founded in 2000, Balabit became a leading vendor in enterprise IT security, serving clients in over 50 countries, supported by 100 reseller partners, and operating offices in 8 countries. Under Zoltán’s leadership, the company raised funding and eventually exited in a $100 million deal.
After Balabit, Zoltán turned his focus to support startups as angel investor and also to ecosystem development and now plays a key role in Startup Hungary.
