About Event

Canada's electricity grid wasn't designed for AI data centres. Gigawatts of new demand are arriving anyway - and utilities, developers, and climate tech founders are figuring out in real time how to handle it without sacrificing affordability or climate goals.

Climate Tech Canada is bringing together founders, investors and infrastructure operators to explore how we build for this new reality.

What to expect:

  • 6:00 PM Doors open

  • 6:15 PM Opening remarks from Climate Tech Canada

  • 6:20PM Lightning talks from expert speakers

  • 7:10 PM Speaker Q&A

  • 7:30 PM Open networking with coffee, tea and non-alcoholic refreshments

About the speakers:

  • Emily MacIntosh is Director of Knowledge at the CleanAI initiative, working to ensure AI is a positive force in accelerating the transition to a clean economy.

  • Alexander Ngai leads the Business Planning function at Telehouse Canada, where he supports strategic planning, business transformation, and long‑term growth initiatives aligned with the company’s evolving infrastructure and customer demands.

  • Joshua Green is the CEO of Mysa. Initially focused on smart thermostats for baseboard heating, Mysa has also expanded its energy management IoT solution services to both electric utilities and commercial organizations.

  • Andrew Friedenthal is the Director of Market Development at e-Zinc where he leads sales and marketing strategy and participates in long duration energy storage projects, driving revenue through the deployment of innovative battery systems.

  • Sharif Virani is the CEO of the SPUR Innovation Centre and Chief of Staff of SPUR Data Centres, where he is advancing a compute-to-GDP model to convert domestic compute capacity into measurable economic output.

About the Host: Climate Tech Canada is the intelligence layer for Canada's climate economy, helping climate tech founders, investors, corporate adopters, and policymakers navigate the shift to a low-carbon economy.
