Nucleate New Orleans: IP Law Workshop
Join Nucleate New Orleans for an in-depth Intellectual Property (IP) Workshop designed for researchers, founders, and innovators working at the intersection of science and commercialization, hosted in partnership with Baker Donelson.
This session will introduce core IP and patent fundamentals relevant to biotechnology and life sciences, with a focus on how IP strategy fits into early-stage company formation, research translation, and long-term value creation. The workshop will conclude with a guided, interactive case study, giving attendees the opportunity to apply key concepts in a practical, discussion-based format.
We’re excited to be joined by Dr. Paula Estrada de Martin and Dr. Kevin Dietz from Baker Donelson’s Life Sciences IP practice. Drawing on their experience advising biotech and life sciences clients, they will share real-world insights into patent strategy, common pitfalls, and how scientific innovations are evaluated from an IP perspective—bringing clarity to topics that often feel opaque early on.
The event will be hosted at Baker Donelson’s New Orleans offices in the Central Business District (36th floor). Food and beverages will be provided.
