Caged and Free: Creative Writing Workshop with Kema
About the session
This creative writing workshop invites participants to explore the idea of freedom through lyric writing.
Led by Kema, the session uses creativity as a tool to challenge structures and unpack both internal and external barriers. Through guided exercises, participants will reflect on what holds them back, identify their “cages,” and explore more empathetic and nurturing ways to move toward freedom.
Rooted in Kema’s extensive experience facilitating workshops across a wide range of settings, from boardrooms to prisons to festivals, this session creates a space for honest reflection, expression, and connection.
What to expect
A participatory workshop combining writing prompts, reflection, and optional sharing. No prior writing experience is needed.

The House of Creativity is located at Fusion Arts, 15 Park End Street, OX1 1HH. It is a 5 minute walk from Oxford Train Station, next to the Royal Hotel Oxford and Olive Branch Cafe.
