​A Speculative Design Fiction Workshop

​The way we move is changing.

​Electric vehicles, autonomous systems, flying taxis, drones, AI-powered mobility, shared transportation, and new forms of urban infrastructure are already challenging our assumptions about how people and things move. At the same time, cities are grappling with congestion, climate, accessibility, safety, and how we use public space.

​What happens when we stop trying to predict what comes next — and start playing with possible futures instead?

​In this playful, speculative workshop, we’ll explore emerging shifts in mobility and use them as a springboard for imagining futures that could look very different from today.

​We’ll trace some of the forces shaping mobility, spot emerging possibilities, and then push them further through Design Fiction. What new behaviours might emerge? What might become normal? What strange, delightful, useful, or unexpected things might people need in these futures?

​You’ll work with others to imagine speculative mobility inventions and experiences — not as products to pitch or solutions to build, but as provocations that help us see familiar systems differently.

​This is less about getting the future “right” and more about loosening our assumptions about what is possible.

​Expect facilitated conversations, collaborative mapping, sticky notes, imagination, and a few ideas that might sound ridiculous until you imagine the world they belong to.

​Come if you’re a founder, designer, technologist, mobility professional, creative thinker, or simply curious about what the future of movement could look like.

​No prior experience with futures thinking, mobility, or Design Fiction required. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play with possibility.
