From Story to Action: Expanding Bioenergy Campaigns Across Borders
Civil society organizations are addressing different parts of the bioenergy supply chain, from impacts on forests and local communities in producer countries to biomass and biofuel demand, supply chains and energy policies in consumer countries.
While these campaigns respond to different national contexts, the stories, evidence and communications approaches developed in one country can potentially strengthen campaigns in another.
This session will bring together campaigners and communicators working in different national and regional contexts to share practical campaign experiences and explore how existing campaigns could be expanded through cross-border storytelling, evidence, media engagement and policy communications.
The session will use the Gorontalo campaign journey as an opening case for discussion, followed by a roundtable. Rather than aiming to produce a joint campaign or specific outcome during the session, participants will explore ideas and approaches that may be worth trying in their own campaigns or developing further together.
