Removing CO2 from the atmosphere is one important building block of slowing climate change. Our event sheds a light on how much Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) we need, how realistic this is and who pays for it. Several start-ups and established companies present their approaches to atmospheric carbon capture, complemented by speakers on the science, investment and policy around CDR.

Confirmed speakers:

1. Dr. Johannes Pulsfort (Senior Carbon Finance Expert, WU Wien / UN) : How much CDR do we need, and who pays for it?
2. Tony Oehm (CEO & Founder, ZeroEx) : How to survive carbon markets
3. Aparna Rajeev (Business Development, mynus) : Turning air-captured CO2 into products
4. Lara Brodie (E.ON Energy Projects GmbH) : Capturing CO2 through BECCS – from experience to future enablers
5. Benno Fuchs (COO, Puro Earth) : Developments and Challenges in CDR certification
6. Bharti Singhla (Principal, Momentum Capital) : What does it take for an investor to invest in a CDR start-up?
7. Q&A session for the audience

The core event is 18:00 - 19:30, followed by music, food and drinks (open-ended)

The venue is not easily accessible for wheelchairs (5 steps in front of the elevator).

Please note that photographs and video recordings will be taken during the event for documentation, reporting, and public communication purposes; for online events, this includes recordings of the session and screenshots. If you do not wish to be included in such recordings, please let us know on site or, for online events, at the start of the session (e.g. via chat) – you are also welcome to keep your camera switched off. We will take this into consideration.
