ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Juliana N. Pereira

Juliana was born and raised in New York to a Colombian mother and Portuguese father, and has spent the last twenty years living in Madrid. Throughout her career, she's reinvented herself eight times across advertising, luxury fashion pr/communications, entrepreneurship, higher education, technology, and community building.

Those experiences led Juliana to explore one question:

How do we navigate reinvention in times of profound change?

What began as a book has evolved into a much broader conversation around the future of work, leadership, adaptability, identity, and the uniquely human skills that will matter most in the age of AI.

Luis R. Baptista

Luis has held more job titles than most people have hobbies. He began at Procter & Gamble, pivoted to AT&T, led Chicco in Venezuela, brought Cinnabon to continental Europe, teaches at IE Business School, and his online course on Coursera has reached more than 140,000 learners. That’s the short list.

Civil engineer, marketer, product developer, retail manager, business developer, consultant, strategist, researcher, entrepreneur. Often several at once, across three continents. In a world that rewards specialists, he was told that being a generalist was a weakness.

Turns out, it was his superpower. Every pivot taught him something the last one couldn’t: how to learn fast, adapt faster, and connect dots nobody else could see. For Pivot-Quest, he personally led two years of qualitative and quantitative research with aspiring pivoters, university career offices, and companies.

This is the book he needed at every crossroads but couldn’t find.
