Gen AI debates often focus on its environmental impacts, with negative effects being researched but positive impacts primarily speculative. Without proper tools for balance, discussions stagnate. To move forward, we will examine the reality of data centers—inside and out—then reflect on the societal implications of the infrastructure needed to support (Generative) AI.

​Let's virtually (mostly) look at those vast Data Centers and what they look like from the outside, inside, and inside the servers themselves. With this view more anchored in the hardware regarding this topic, we'll then take a step back and think about what it could mean as a society to actually use and deploy the critical infrastructures needed to provide our beloved prompts.
